Our aim
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. It is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as a target. In practice that means you should be able to zoom to 200% without losing content, navigate every page with a keyboard, use a screen reader to read the pages, and read the text at colour contrasts that meet the guideline.
How the site is built
- Semantic HTML with a single main heading on each page and a logical heading order.
- A skip link to the main content on every page.
- Text that resizes with your browser settings; no text in images.
- No autoplaying media, no animation that cannot be paused, no time limits.
- Links written to make sense out of context.
Known limitations
The site has been tested with automated tools and by keyboard in current versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari on desktop and on an iPhone. It has not yet been tested with a full range of assistive technologies. If you find something that does not work for you, please tell us.
